From prehistoric times to the present, nature has been the only place where people have observed and sought answers to their concerns in order to survive. It is conceptually interconnected that nature resumes itself within a certain order, and the cyclic renewal of fashion is interconnected. The biomimetic concept, which is the application area of biomimicry, was used by Otto Schmit in 1974. The term "biomimicry" is derived from the Greek words "bios" for life and "mimesis" for imitation. Janine Benyus, who discussed the concept of biomimicry in 1997, has worked in this area and has emphasized that the use of the sustainable life cycle in nature by mimicking it in design is very important for the emergence of new ideas. Stories of cave walls, natural motifs found in Egyptian ruins, an armored tank inspired by Leonardo da Vinci's creatures, and a flying machine lead to biomimetic designs throughout the historical process. In addition to these periods, 19. and 20. in the 19th century designs, nature is considered an inspiration. Jean Paul Gaultier, Hendrick Vermeulen, Dior, Thierry Mugler, Yuima Nakazato, collections by leading figures such as Alexander McQuenn using biomimetic effects in fashion design are the most striking examples. While creating their collections, designers took into account material, form, textiles, structure, color and pattern elements and mainly utilized the form biomimetic method. This article is based on microscopic images of living beings, and is designed with experimental textile surfaces that can be used in fashion design. In experimental surfaces prepared, color, texture, structure, and form characteristics are kept in the foreground using formal biomimetic. In addition to the fact that the textile surfaces produced can be used in fashion design, preparing them with waste and sustainable materials mimics the principle of nature's self-sustaining.
