ABSTRACT
Igor Stravinsky, one of the composers who led the 20th-century music, has produced works in different species and movements during over 60 years of compose. The irregular rhythmic structures used in his works from time to time added innovative techniques to the music literature with innovations in harmonic technique and different orchestration experiences that he gained. Igor Stravinsky, one of the most effective composers of the 20’st century, revealed one of the most important works of solo clarinet repertoire with his work "3 pieces for solo clarinet", which he composed in 1918. In this study, in order to contribute to professional or part-time trained clarinet players, Igor Stravinsky's "3 Pieces for Solo Clarinet" was analyzed and practicing methods were recommended. This piece, which was included in the curriculum to be played at the undergraduate/graduate level in our country, stands out as a piece with high level determination, which is requested to be performed by candidates in international clarinet competitions and takes its place in recital programs. In this study, which was prepared for Igor Stravinsky's "3 Pieces for Solo Clarinet", in addition to the changing time signatures and the recommendations for the ease of working for the second piece without barlines, finger positions that are thought to provide convenience are suggested. With this point of view, it is thought that as a result of this study named "Technical Practicing Methods for Igor Stravinsky's Three Pieces for Solo Clarinet", this work, which is important for clarinet players, will gain a different perspective on this work.
