The first people needed a design to carry and keep their belongings and made bags and pouches based on the materials around them. Hunter and gatherer early humans preserved their materials and the animals they hunted in the bags and pouches they made. They are known to create these bags and pouches using naturally occurring materials such as animal skin and cotton. Today, these bags and pouches are generally referred to as bags. The bag made it possible for people from hunters and gatherers to farming sedentary people to carry their food and valuables in their hands and bodies. The bag has changed in many different designs from the past to the present, according to its shape and purpose of carrying. This adventure of change is understood from the bag forms that have survived to the present day. Today, it has been seen that the bag form has been transformed into a work of art rather than just an item of use. This idea is not only valid for materials such as leather, fabric, metal, but also important in terms of ceramic art. For this purpose, local artists and artists working in the field of ceramic art were researched and existing works were introduced. This study has been prepared in order to determine the assets of ceramic works made using the bag form and to identify the artists working on this subject.
