ABSTRACT
Changes in the branches of art have affected fashion in one aspect every period, and artists and designers have adapted to the industrial society by developing new methods. Inspired by consumer marketing and popular culture image, the pop art movement has also aimed to connect with the fashion world from the very beginning and has had a great impact on textile fashion since its emergence. The aim of the study is to present design proposals in the home textile category by examining the relationship of the Pop Art movement, which emerged in the 1960s, with textile design, how the reflections are in the designs and how long its impact persists from the past to the present. Various designs can be put forward in all areas by being influenced by the Pop Art movement, which has a wide range of color and pattern. These Pop Art interactions, which have been often seen in the collections of brands or designers in the field of textiles in recent years, have made us think about the examination of the movement in the sense that it made such an impact since its emergence. In this context, in the first part of the study, the Pop Art movement has been examined and the important artists of the movement have been mentioned. Afterwards, the relationship between fashion and art has been discussed and the reflections of Pop Art on textile fashion and home textiles have been examined. In line with the evaluations and researches, while there are designs under the influence of Pop Art which are often included in clothing fashion, the need to detail the field of home textiles has been seen and design proposals for children's home textile products that can be used in daily life have been presented in this category. During the research process, various visual and written sources were used and a comprehensive literature review was conducted on the subject.
