1920’li yıllarda ortaya çıkan görüntü işleme yöntemleri video veya resim görüntüleri üzerinde değişiklik yapmak, iyileştirmek ya da anlamlı bilgiler oluşturmak için kullanılmaktadır. Görüntü işleme güvenlik, endüstri, tıp, coğrafya, reklamcılık ve sanat alanı gibi birçok alanda kullanılmaktadır. Çalışmada Photo Booth programlarında kullanılabilecek bir yazılım geliştirilmiştir. Bu yazılım sayesinde fotoğrafı çekilen kişi farklı arka plan ve çerçeve seçeneklerinden istediği bir tanesi içine kendi fotoğrafını yerleştirebilmektedir. Arka plan uygulaması için gerekli görüntü işleme ve iyileştirme teknikleri kullanılmıştır. Bu çalışma disiplinler arası yaklaşımla, nitel ve deneysel yöntemlerin beraber kullanıldığı bir çalışmadır. Grafik tasarım ve bilgisayar yazılımının beraber kullanılmasıyla fotoğrafta arka plan uygulaması, fotoğrafın uygulanan arka plana yerleştirilmesi ve bunun oranlı bir şekilde nasıl yapıldığı gösterilmektedir. Çalışmada uygulanmış deneysel yaklaşım insan ve toplum yararına bir tasarımdır. Yaşadığımız modern çağın dijital ve teknolojik açıdan her geçen gün öneminin artması çalışmamızı da bu kapsamda önemli kılmaktadır. Çalışmada hazırlanan photo booth yazılımı sayesinde farklı iki resim, resim iyileştirme ve oranlama teknikleri kullanarak birleştirmiştir. Herhangi bir organizasyonda, turistik bir işletme ve bölgede veya AVM’lerde ücretsiz olarak kullandırılabilecek bir tasarım yapılmıştır. Tasarım sayesinde müşterilerin eğlenceli fotoğraflarını self service bir şekilde çıktısı verilebilmektedir. Tasarım herhangi bir bilgisayar, web-cam ve yazıcı kullanılarak çalıştırılabildiği görülmüştür.

Image processing methods that emerged in the 1920s are used to modify, improve or create meaningful information on video or picture images. Image processing is used in many fields such as security, industry, medicine, geography, advertising and art. In the study, a software that can be used in Photo Booth programs has been developed. Thanks to this software, the person photographed can place his/her own photo in one of the different background and frame options. Necessary image processing and enhancement techniques are used for the background application. This study is a study in which qualitative and experimental methods are used together with an interdisciplinary approach. By using graphic design and computer software together, the application of the background in the photograph, the placement of the photograph on the applied background and how this is done proportionally are shown. The experimental approach applied in the study is a design for the benefit of people and society. The increasing importance of the modern age we live in digitally and technologically makes our work important in this context. Thanks to the photo booth software prepared in the study, two different pictures were combined using picture improvement and proportioning techniques. A design has been made that can be used free of charge in any organization, touristic business, region or shopping malls. Thanks to the design, the fun photos of the customers can be printed out in a self-service way. It has been seen that the design can be run using any computer, web-cam and printer.
