Bu yazıda amaç doğu ve batı sanatındaki farklılıkları resim ve tiyatrodan seçilen örnekler aracılığıyla tespit etmek ve bu farklılığın nedenlerini toplumların gerçeklik algısı zemininde tartışmaktır. Bunun için resim alanında perspektifli resim ve minyatür arasındaki ayrım ile, toplumların resimde çıplak olanı kullanma biçimi; tiyatro alanında ise klasik, gerçekçi batı tiyatrosuyla soyut, stilize doğu tiyatrosu biçimleri yazının kapsamı içine alınmıştır. Toplumların somut, beş duyu organıyla algılanabilen yaşam gerçeğine yüklediği anlamın inanç ve düşün dünyasına sızan yönleriyle irdelenmesi ve elde edilen bulguların sanat alanındaki farklılıklarla ilişkilendirilmesi de bu yazının kapsamını oluşturur. Bunun için farklı sanat dalları, düşünme biçimleri arasında sağlıklı bir bağ kurmak adına analiz ve ilişkilendirme yöntemi kullanılmış, yazının konusu karşılaştırmalı bir yöntem izlenmesini de beraberinde getirmiştir. Bu karşılaştırmada amaç bir sanat dalı ya da bir toplumun sanat, düşünce dünyasını diğerine üstün tutmak değil yalnızca toplumların sanatları arasındaki farklılıkları nedenleriyle birlikte daha iyi çözümlemektir. Kuşkusuz sanat tarihinde doğu ve batı sanatının farklı özelliklere sahip olduğunu, sanatsal örneklerdeki yönelişler üzerinden ortaya koyarak bunun sebepleri üzerine yoğunlaşan pek çok çalışma mevcuttur. Ancak bu yazıda söz konusu bir dizi sebepten gerçekliğe bakış konusundaki farklılık üzerine odaklanma, sanat tarihinde süre gelen ayrımı bu kip üzerinden detaylıca okuma amacı güdülmektedir. Bu amaç ister istemez yeni sonuçları gündeme getirmiştir. Ayrıca bunun için bu yazıda resim ve tiyatrodan çok farklı örnekleri aynı anda karşılaştırma olanağı sunulması çok yönlü bir bakış açısı geliştirmeyi sağlarken, sanat alanında bilinen pek çok şeye farklı bir yönden bakmayı gerektirecektir.

In this article, it is aimed to identify the differences between eastern and western art and its reasoning through selective samples of paintings and theatre plays and discuss these reasonings on the basis of these cultures’ reality perspectives. Hence, in the field of painting; the distinction between paintings with perspective and minature paintings and societies’ forms of using nudity; and in the field of theatre, conservative realistic western and stylate eastern theatre forms are analyzed. Analyzing the perception of physical world by way of five sensoriel organs, its effects on the sense of reality and the parts of its leakage to the world of philosophy and associating the results with the differences in the field of art, generates the content of this article. Therefore, to be able to establish a healthy bond between varied fields of art and ways of thinking, regression analysis method is used and the subject of the article has brought a comparative method with itself. The aim in this comparison is not to determine one field of art or one society’s world of thought superior to another, but to analyze the differences between societies’ art forms within the reasonings. Beyond doubt; there are countless studies that reveals the differences between western and eastern art through artistic orientations and concantrates on the reasonings of these differences, in the history of art. Solely, in this article the goal of focussing on the perception of reality within a spate of reasons and reading the differences in the history of art through this paradigm is pursued. Unavoidably this aim revives new outcomes. Furthermore, given the opportunity of comparing diversified samples from paintings to theatre enables to create a sophisticated point of view and also requires to analyze known facts in the field of art from a different viewpoint.
