The research aims to teach various ways of expression of Contemporary Art for design through art branches, to use it in graphic design and to present original design products with different techniques by using different disciplinary sources, to present the acquired achievements and experiences with information obtained from the students' opinions and to reveal the impact of Contemporary Art on graphic design in this context. The research was conducted using the participatory action research design, a qualitative research method. The data were interpreted through literature review and descriptive analysis. Research, 2015-2016, 2016-2017, 2017-2018 and 2018-2019 academic year fall and spring semester, Kastamonu University Kastamonu Vocational School Department of Design ‘Graphic Design Program’ in the first and second education and Department of Audiovisual Techniques and Media Production ‘Printing and Broadcasting Technologies Program’ 2. This class is limited to students. In order to serve as a sample for the research, 20 student studies were included. The Contemporary Art movements that students want to study have been selected by themselves without any restrictions and are depicted with graphical lines as reproductions. However, at the end of the implementation, student opinions were obtained through a student opinion survey. The survey participated in 286 students. As a result of the research, it has been observed that works belonging to artists who have pioneered Contemporary Art movements can be converted into graphic design products, and technical and philosophical awareness of Contemporary Art has developed based on the original of world-famous works included in Contemporary Art, works can be graphically simplified, graphically depicted in a digital environment. However, according to the student opinion survey results; The discipline of Contemporary Art contributes positively to the development of students' perspectives on design, students learn to look at design products with a critical eye, positively affects creative thinking skills, interest increases design skills, motivation and experience in the design process, positively affects research and inquiry skills and analytical thinking skills, positively contributes to their imaginative development, learns to use different disciplinary resources, learns to use design principles and elements, it has been concluded that they have practiced learning, learned to convert works into one, two, three dimensional graphic design products with digital design programs, and learned to convert an object that is an industrial product into a graphic design product.
